The Workstation Extractor
BOFA’s AD Base 1 Oracle is a “two in one” solution for laser engravers working both as a fume extractor and a workstation.
With a range of different base units to choose from, most manufacturer’s laser engravers can simply sit on top of the extractor, providing operator convenience and saving floor space.
Cutting edge features
The AD Base 1 Oracle incorporates a number of innovative technologies.
Thanks to reverse flow air (RFA) technology, filter life and performance are significantly increased. RFA causes a fall in velocity and air direction change. As a result, larger particulates fall out of the airstream into the filter’s drop out chamber. Less particulates mean greater efficiency and longer filter life.
A multi-voltage sensing (MVS) unit automatically senses the local voltage and adjusts accordingly between 90-275V.
Automatic flow control (AFC) presets the airflow rates to match the specific application. This results in lower noise levels and allows further protection of the filters.
Three stage filtration
The AD Base 1 Oracle offers a pre-filter that incorporates a massive drop-out chamber and a large volume area within the base of the filter. Above the drop-out chamber there’s a sealed 200mmm deep pleat layer of F8 media.
To filter particulates to a maximum efficiency of 99.997% down to 0.3 microns and 95% as small as 0.1 microns, BOFA use HEPA filters. These (high efficiency particulate air) filters include a series of webbing between the pleated media. This ensures even spacing for full filter coverage between each pleat and alleviates the possibility of airflow vibration or collapse.
Hazardous fumes are safely captured and removed by advanced carbon filter (ACF) technology. This ensures that contaminated air stays in contact with the carbon bed long enough to ensure that no contaminated air odours are emitted (dwell time).
